Input needed

Hey guys, I need some input on what sort of things you guys would like to see on the site. Is there anything I can do for you guys to help make this forum a more enjoyable experience?

There was talk of the app process changing, but monthly activity checks should come into play as well as mods checking in on the members who don't answer to the activity checks via pm's

Also if we want, have diffrent types of in game events to make things more interesting

I agree with the activity check one. It's a good way to make sure that people are actually coming and are active. I think the mods should send at least two-three PMs/Notices (first PM: a notification if they don't respond and it's close to the ending of the check; second/third PM: warnings) to the ones that aren't replying to the activity checks because if the mods keep sending the PMs, then the RPer could take advantage of it and such. Not saying that anyone would, but it can happen. Possibly a two-three day wait after the sent PM would be appropriate. Or whatever days you mods deem appropriate to wait. Just giving my input. xD

I really like the God Card thing that we did last time because it widens our interactions with the other players. Like no one would feel left out or anything. And it's COOL~ Kidnapping, ransoms, etc. Who doesn't like that? -gringrin-

And I would like it if the players won't group with each other. Especially with pairings. Yes, I'm aware that you wish to be with your loved one but please interact with others. Makes other people feel left out, you know? I'm not like bad-mouthing pairings or anything though. >_______________<''

Agreed with what's been said so far. I also wonder if there's some way we can incorporate more interaction between the different families into the original storyline? This way, more characters may be better able to communicate with characters they normally wouldn't interact with (random example: Cuba and Hungary). I hope this makes sense.

Does this also mean we'll be advertising the forum again? I've been noticing that the hetalia comm at LJ has been receiving quite a few RP forum ads recently. It might be better to wait it out a little before advertising there, if this will be the case.

I agree with Taiwan on more advertising being needed! I am Head of Advertisement on six RPs, and lots have nearly a full cast so I would be more than willing to help if we could get back in business because of it!

I also agree with Korea on the grouping thing...it really isn't a nice feeling at all. Sadly that seems to be something that is hard to prevent though. In every group everywhere, it happens to some extent. But if there is a way I am not thinking of, I will be happy!

I think we should have a more detailed application really. After joining so many more RPs, it seems that more detailed ones weed out players who don't put in effort and such! Might be a pain to fill out but it generally tends to work better.

And monthly activity checks do sound nice~

Events, like the god cards, were awesome and promoted interaction with players. We should really keep that!

I agree with the ideas the others before me have shared, especially the monthly checks. We need activity here, and there won't be much activity if others are not logging in, yes?

I would also like to lessen the 'group' idea, despite each character belonging to a family. The same goes for pairings. I know that we enjoy pairing with someone we have played with for quite a long time, yes, but please be flexible. Crack pairings don't seem so crack in alternate universe or even in real life, I believe, and they should not be discriminated.

Also, maybe after sending an application, the app must answer a few follow-up questions by either the mods or the admin. That way, we will know how the person will act in the role playing and see if he/she is fit for the role.

Hmmm... It looks like most of my concerns (activity checks, events, advertising & the whole interact-with-others-thing) have been addressed, so I'll just say hello for the activity check. Maybe I'll come up with something a bit more productive eventually.

Oh oh! I also wanted to point out some organizational things that should be fixed.

I think the board option for the layout where you can actually see all the subforums should be activated for easier navigation. And the application section should be categorized different so they are moved to 'accepted applications' after accepted. It makes things easier. Also, I think an advertisement board would be nice. It brings in people for advertising and sometimes they stay as members. And it is a good way to pimp out your own boards on their advertisement board.

I like what everyone is saying. Activity checks would be awesome and so would the God Cards. I think it would be a good idea to change the applications just a little bit. Get to know the character a bit more through the app.

I have some questions about the setting of the roleplay. Where does it take place exactly? And the time period as well? I assumed it was modern, but I'd like some clarification.

Ah, well the only thing I can think to comment on is the coloring. Like past links and the admin's colors. It's hard to read against the black, I usually have to highlight it. But the god cards were awesome, the set-up is pretty decent, and the forum is awesome.

A plot discussion board. So we can communicate with one another and plan things~. It would be very useful here.
